I am working on the usability problem

Andrea Proli: 2/23/06 10:19 AM

one of my research areas is about developing metaphors to present knowledge encoded in an abstract form (OWL, RDF, and the like) in such a way that it is intuitive to end-users without engineering capabilities

Andrea Proli: 2/23/06 10:20 AM

and let them interact in a simple way with that knowledge (navigate, query, visualize)

Paul S Prueitt: 2/23/06 10:20 AM

i am for this

Paul S Prueitt: 2/23/06 10:20 AM

as you know

Andrea Proli: 2/23/06 10:20 AM

but this is a layer above the "complicated one", and my feeling is that the "complicated one" still needs to exist

Paul S Prueitt: 2/23/06 10:21 AM

the nary representation work will be useful to you

Andrea Proli: 2/23/06 10:21 AM

in order to have the layer above

Paul S Prueitt: 2/23/06 10:21 AM

i agree

Paul S Prueitt: 2/23/06 10:21 AM

about the layers

Paul S Prueitt: 2/23/06 10:21 AM

and the need for a description logic

Paul S Prueitt: 2/23/06 10:21 AM

With clarity

Paul S Prueitt: 2/23/06 10:21 AM

it is a difficult challenge
