Public
management of all property claims
Simple explanation:
The diagram shows a hypothetical relationship between pure
mathematics and a small set of fundamental concepts derived directly
from the axioms and theorems of mathematics. From this set, it is
then possible to derive all possible computer designs. Whereas
this is a hypothetical relationship, we have evidence that more than
one set of such fundamental concepts exists. A parallel exists to Riemannian
and non-Riemannian geometries.
The proof would depend on what one takes as a possible computer
design. The hypothetic relationship depends on an understanding
of the completeness and consistency theorems as developed by
Godel. *<*>
History: The history of this
conjecture has not been developed.
Nature of first principles:
The fundamental concept of the second school is that there is a type of
stratification to physical reality, and that this stratification is
required in symbol systems if our symbol systems are to more fully
model physical reality.
Functions provided by public
management of digital property claims
The provision of a publicly owned stratum, defined with an extension of
pure mathematics, on which to specify computing processes; may be
possible.
If this hypothesis is correct then each processes may be defined in an
optimal fashion, as hypothesized by H. Szu (personal communication
1998). The so specified process may be awarded property ownership
shared by a public trust based on the social origin of the
stratum. In this case, the origination is from a public
trust.
This property ownership will not, in this hypothetical situation, be
absolute; but will have some level of shared ownership corresponding to
the pre-existing infrastructure and literatures. The shared
nature must be adjudicated. The
lenght of time for which government protection of intellectual property
must also be adjudicated.
